Veeraputhran is based on the life of legendary freedom fighter Mohammed Abdu Rahman Sahib (1898-1945). The film zooms in on the life of the great orator, writer and the former President of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee.
Actor Narain, who was not really active in Malayalam for a while now, is doing the title role. Raima Sen plays his wife, the character named Kunhi Beevathu. The film’s cast also includes Sarath Kumar, Kalabhavan Mani and Siddique. The story is by N P Mohammed. M J Radhakrishnan is the cinematographer and the music director is Ramesh Narayan.
