Pawan Kalyan as the stylish James Bond
Surender Reddy is said to have narrated a story to Pawan Kalyan and the Power Star who was impressed with the storyline has readily given his nod to Stylish director. The film is touted as a stylish James bond film and it will be produced by R Venkat on RR Movie Makers banner. Though initially Surender Reddy planned it with Mahesh, due to unavailability of Super Star’s call sheets, the handsome offer landed on Power Star’s laps.
Pawan Kalyan is currently busy with the films Panjaa and Gabbar Singh.
Nagarjuna’s Damarukam in Hyderabad
Akkineni Nagarjuna’s socio-fantasy film Damarukam is currently being canned in Hyderabad. The makers are planning to film a song along with some climax scenes in Hyderabad from early next month.
Damarukam is taking shape in the hands of director Srinivas Reddy while Venkat is producing the movie on RR Movie Makers banner. Anushka is zeroed in to play the leading lady in the film. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music for the film while Chota.K.Naidu is handling the cinematography.
Damarukam is said to be the costliest film for Nagarjuna till date and the movie is expected to be released in February 2012.
Rajinikanth offers prayers in Tirumala
Rajinkanth thanked all his fans for offering prayers for him while he was undergoing treatment in Singapore. The matinee idol informed that he is absolutely fine with the grace of almighty and he will step into the shooting sets of Rana within three more months. Rajini also gave away the Diwali wishes to all his fans. Fans thronged into the temple to see the Super Star in Tirumala. However, the authorities made tight security arrangements.
Rajinikanth was accompanied by his wife Latha, daughters Aishwarya, Soundarya and sons-in-laws Dhanush, Ashwin along with his friend and actor Mohanbabu.
Allari Naresh signs a 3D film
Apart from Allari Naresh, three other actors will play the lead roles and the makers are yet to finalize on the cast and crew. Producer Anil Sunkara informed that the script work is outstanding and will have some novel elements to surprise the audiences.

Venky’s Ganga-The Bodyguard in theaters from 24 Nov
Victory Venkatesh starrer Ganga-The Bodyguard is now scheduled for a release on 24th November. We have already reported that Nara Rohit starrer Solo is also releasing on the same day. So, Nara Rohit will lock horns with Venkatesh at the Box-Office.
Ganga-The Bodyguard is the remake of Malayalam super hit Bodyguard that was also remade in Tamil and Hindi version. The film stars Trisha as the female lead and Saloni in a vital role. Gopichand Malineni directed the film and Bellamkonda Suresh produced it on Sai Ganesh Productions banner. Thaman is the music director.
Ganga-The Bodyguard audio will be launched in November first week.
Allu Arjun, Trivikram’s film rolls from 2nd Nov
This is the first time Allu Arjun and Ileana are pairing up while the latter has already worked in Trivikram’s direction earlier in Jalsa. DVV Daayya is producing this romantic comedy entertainer under Universal Media banner. Devi Sri Prasad is zeroed in to score the tunes for the film.
Though the movie was supposed to begin shoot a month ago, it was postponed as Allu Arjun has left to Australia for his surgery.
Mahesh’s The Businessman gets an item girl
Sources are abuzz that Swetha Bharadwaj will shake her leg alongside Mahesh for a raunchy number in the movie that would be one of the highlights. The businessman has Kajal Agarwal as the leading lady. Venkat is producing the movie on RR Movie Makers banner. Thaman is composing the music.
The Businessman is scheduled for a release on 11th January, 2012.
Parvati Melton in Pawan Kalyan Gabbar Singh?

Vijay’s Velayudham has never seen before stunts
The action sequence on the top of the train and another fight sequence inside the Chennai harbour are said to be the highlights of the film. Vjiay has done some risky daring stunts in the film without a body double. Directed by Raja and produced by big banner Aascar Films, Velayudham features Genelia and Hansika as the leading ladies. Abhimanyu Singh is essaying a baddie role.
Priyan handled the cinematography while Vijay Antony composed the tunes for the film. .
Dookudu 50days function in Vijayawada
Dookudu featuring Mahesh, Samantha in the leads in the direction of Srinu Vytla turned out as the biggest hit of the year and also the second highest grosser of Telugu cinema industry. The film has opened in highest number of screens and garnered huge openings that turned out as an asset for collections.
Huge numbers of fans are expected to attend the event and the 14 Reels Entertainment producers are planning to make Super Star reach the venue in a specially hired chopper.
Asha Bhosle enters Guinness World Records
Asha, who has evergreen numbers like "Dum maro dum", "Mehbooba mehbooba" ("Sholay"), "Piya tu ab to aaja" ("Caravan") and "Chura liya hai tumne jo dil ko" ("Yaadon ki Baraat") to her credit, was conferred with the Guinness honour at the Asian awards function held in London, a statement said.
The singer is elated with the record. "Aaj sahi mayne mein mujhe aisa lag raha hai ki mein world ki recognised singer hogayi hu. Mujhe ye pata tha key sabse zyada mere recorded songs hai phir bhi main aaj tak chup rahi (Today, I truly feel I am a world recognised singer. I always knew I have the maximum number of songs to my credit, still I never said anything all this while," Asha said.
She thanked music researcher Vishwas Nerurkar for helping her get the Guinness title.
"Vishwas Nerurkar ne mere sab gaano ka pata karke Guinness World Records ko correct information diya aur aaj yeh samaan mujhe mila hai (Vishwas Nerurkar found out about all my songs and gave the correct information to Guinness World Records, because of which I got this title)," she added.
Asha also had a message for her fans.
"Mein apne chahanewalo ko kehna chahungi ke aapka pyar mere liye issi tarha se barkarar rahein aur jis tarha aapne mere gaano ko pyaar kiya hai usi tarhan meri acting (Hindi film 'Maaee') ko bi aapka pyar aur ashirwad miley (To all those who love me, I would like to say that I hope your love for me remains the way it has always been and just the way you have loved my songs, you will love my Hindi film 'Maaee' too)," she said.
Asha will make her big screen acting debut with "Maaee", which is complete and ready for release.
Directed by Mahesh Kodiyal, the film is co-produced by Subhash Dawar of Alliance Entertainment and Nitin Shankar of Rythm D'vine Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
The film also features Padmini Kolhapure as Asha's daughter.
It is the story of a woman who goes on to live with her daughter and son-in-law after being abandoned by her only son.
Chaitanya Dantuluri directing Oh My Friend Song
Though the film’s original director is Venu Sriram, he has handed the responsibilities of canning a song to Chaitanya Dantuluri and the latter has readily accepted. The song is presently being canned in Pune Mumbai highway, where all the lead casts are participating. Oh My Friend has Siddharth, Shruti Haasan, Hansika, Navdeep in the leads.
Dil Raju is producing the film under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner with Rahul Raj as music director. Vijay K Chakravarthy is taking charge of the camera.
Oh My Friend is slated for a release on 11th November, 2011.
Sridevi homesick in New York
Just after her father-in-law Surinder Kapoor's demise, Sridevi left for the shoot in New York.
Not being emotionally up to it at the moment, the actress has taken husband Boney along for moral support, says a source.
"Sridevi would be shown shooting in some of the most crowded and difficult parts of New York. She will have to be shown mingling with commuters and crowds. A shy person by nature, it's taking Sridevi a lot of willpower to get herself out on the streets to shoot in the bustle and jostle of New York."
Says another source: "Sri was reluctant to leave so soon after the family tragedy and would've asked for a postponement. Considering the steep production costs and the fact that Sridevi features in nearly every frame of the film, she left as soon as she could."
"Striking down the earlier plan that she would shoot alone, Boney Kapoor accompanied her to New York since she didn't want to be alone there," he added.
Apparently, the actress is already homesick and missing her daughters, but determined to shoot without them as she doesn't want them to miss school.
Speaking from New York, producer R. Balki said: "Around 80 percent of 'English Vinglish' has to be shot in New York. There are 85 avenues in for Sridevi to explore during the 50-day schedule. It's tough because Sri is an instantly recognised face among Indians in the US."
Not writing 'Delhi Belly 2': Kiran Rao
"I am not writing 'Delhi Belly 2', not writing or even directing 'Delhi Belly 2'," Rao told reporters.
A bold, youth-centric drama, "Delhi Belly" was directed by Abhinay Deo. It featured Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunal Roy Kapoor in the lead.
The film ended with Imran's uncle and Rao's husband, actor-producer Aamir Khan, in an item boy avatar in the song "I hate you like I love you". At the end of the song, the banner of a new project "Disco Fighter", which will be directed by Rao, flashed on the screen.
Grapevine had it that the movie would be a sequel to "Delhi Belly". But Rao has put the speculations to rest.
The "Dhobi Ghat" director feels making a sequel to every film is not necessary.
"I guess if you have a good script as your sequel, it makes sense. But I don't think there is any point in making a sequel just because the first one's a success. Doesn't make sense," she added.
"Delhi Belly" grossed over Rs.26 crore in its opening weekend.
