Back on screen soon: Rajnikanth

Tamil movie superstar Rajnikanth Friday said he will soon be back on the silverscreen in a movie directed by his daughter Soundarya.

Speaking to reporters here after handing over a cheque of Rs.10 lakhs to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa towards Cyclone Thane Relief Fund, Rajnikanth said the shooting of the film, "Kochadaiyaan", would start very soon.

Rajnikanth termed his meeting with Jayalalithaa a courtesy call.

According to a state government release here, a total of Rs.28.4 crore has been received in the cyclone relief fund.

Trisha on cloud nine

Trisha, who had signed only Mankatha in Kollywood during past year, is reportedly signing back-to-back Tamil movies in 2012.

Aandi Pandaram to fast against Vijay’s Nanban

Nanban casts Vijay, Ileana, Jeeva and Srikanth in the leads in the direction of Shankar. Inspite being a remake venture got good reports from biggies in Kollywood. But now Aandi Pandaram community has filed a case against Nanban seeking deletion of words Aandi Pandaram, Paari, Poori and Kakoose Sorry.

The Aandi Pandaram community being most backward classes sends a notice to TFPC chairman S.A.Chandrasekar, director Shankar and censor board looking forward deletion of their community names saying it is antisocial to use their community name.

It is also noticed that if the words are not removed from the Nanban movie, community members will go on fast, as they feel so hard to hear the words.

Suriya to romance Hansika in Singham 2

The most happening actor Suriya will be romancing bubbly girl Hansika in his upcoming film Singham 2, directed by Hari.

Singham 2 is the sequel of Singham, which was a blockbuster with Suriya and Anushka in the leads. This sequel has Hansika pairing opposite Suriya, while Anushka will be playing an important role. The wedding date of South Indian actress-singer Mamta Mohandas, who got engaged to her distant relative and childhood friend Prajith in Kochi on 11.11.11, has been finalized. She will marry Prajith on December 28, 2011.

The marriage ceremony is going to be a grand affair unlike her engagement, a source claimed. Buzz is that she will be saying good bye to her acting career after her marriage. Rana in Malayalam?

If the reports are to be believed, Telugu-Hindi actor Rana Daggubati, who is currently busy with Department in Hindi and Naa Ishtam in Telugu, has been approached to star in a Malayalam film based on the life and times of legendary Travancore king Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma, who ruled Travancore from 1729 to 1758.

The proposed film will be directed by K. Sreekumar and produced by UAE-based Media Maps Cinevision in Malayalam, Hindi and English. Poet-lyricist K. Jayamkumar has penned the script.

According to legend, it was during Marthanda Varma's regime that the last major renovation of Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple commenced. The temple is now identified as the richest temple in the world with a treasure of more than Rs. 1 lakh crores.

According to records, Varma "surrendered" the kingdom of Travancore to Sree Padmanabhaswamy, the deity at the temple, in 1750 and pledged that he and his descendants would be vassals or agents of the deity who would serve the kingdom as Padmanabha Dasa.

After his one of the debut movies as a music director 'Yodha' , one of the world's favourite musician A R Rahman definitely reared million of fans in the state of Kerala. Yes, ARR will be soon heard in Malayalam as has agreed to be a part of the magnum opus historical 'Randaamoozham' directed by Hariharan in the scripts of M T Vasudevan Nair.

Mohanlal will be in the role of Bheeman in this literary adaptation, which may also feature south Indian stalwarts like Kamal Haasan and Mammooty as Duryodhanana and Karnan. Pitched as the costliest ever movie ever made in Malayalam, 'Randaamoozham' will be on sets by the mid of 2012.

Vishnuvardhana Audio on 22nd November

Finally the suspense is over. The audio of much expected Sudeep starrer Vishnuvardhana produced by actor-producer Dwarakish and directed by Kumar is getting released on 22nd November and the film will be releasing on 1st December.

This has been confirmed by Kicha himself in his latest tweet which gives the ‘confirmed’ dates of audio and the film’s release. Singer Tippu has sung for one song of the film.

Kicha tweets: ‘Acc to harikrishna,,Vishnuvardhana audio to b out on 22nd..Movie to hit screens on Dec 1st,,says Yogesh, Yogesh is the son of Dwarakish and is the executive producer of the film.

Yogesh has also confirmed about these dates in a chat with Chitraoloka Mega Portal.
